11 GREAT YOUTUBER PODCASTS YOU’RE MISSING OUT ON (IN 2023)

Updated: Feb 2

You may know them from their YouTube channels.

They’ve built a loyal following for their videos. But why stop there?

In the 15+ years we've spent running our YouTube influencer marketing agency, we've seen many popular YouTubers launching their own podcasts as well.

Why would a successful YouTuber switch gears to a totally different channel?

That’s a good question. So we decided to answer that question and a few other common questions in this fun article exploring some great podcasts from YouTubers that you really ought to add to your podcast queue.

Over our 15+ years as a YouTube influencer marketing agency, we've gotten familiar with some of the best.

Take a peek. You might just find your next favorite podcast.

WHY ARE YOUTUBERS DOING PODCASTS?

The truth is, many content creators have grown their brands on a single platform. That could be YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or elsewhere. But what many creators are also learning today is that this can make you susceptible to a single algorithm change and directly affect your livelihood.

And while the motivations likely vary from YouTuber to YouTuber, many of those YouTubers who are making podcasts are doing so because they understand the power of diversifying their creator platforms. If you are already creating great content, then why not work to distribute that content on as many platforms as possible?

ARE THESE PODCASTS GOOD CANDIDATES FOR INFLUENCER MARKETING?

This is a good question. While it will vary from podcast to podcast, any podcast that has an engaged audience can potentially be a good candidate for the right-fit brand collaboration.

Does the podcast audience align with the audience you want to reach? Then you might have a match!

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A YOUTUBE CHANNEL AND A PODCAST?

In short, YouTube channels live on YouTube and are subject to any algorithm or product changes that YouTube makes. In contrast, podcasts are more of an underlying technology that multiple providers can act as distribution for (Spotify, iTunes, Transistor, etc.)

In addition, YouTube channels are visual platforms in contrast to the audio-centric nature of podcasts. That said, some folks will use the audio recording of a video as a podcast, effectively publishing in both places.

DO PODCASTS DO WELL ON YOUTUBE?

Unfortunately, the answer is. . .it depends. Ultimately, content is likely going to perform better when it is tailored to the platform it is published on. What this means is that if you can effectively publish a podcast on YouTube in a way that works natively within YouTube, then yes, they can do well.

However, if you simply duplicate what you’re doing with your podcast and publish it with a static image, you likely won’t see the same sort of results you see from other YouTube channels.

So what are some YouTuber podcasts that we think you should check out in 2022?

Look no further.
