Education can be a dry topic.

You know what we mean. We’ve all had those teachers.

But it doesn’t have to be.

In our 15+ years running a YouTube influencer marketing agency, we've worked with some great influencers that have found a way to make education interesting, fun, and even controversial.

Check out our list of the top 14 education influencers.

1. SmarterEveryDay

Destin explores the world using science and takes you along to learn and discover with him.

2. Today I Found Out

Simon creates interesting and insightful videos about a vast number of unusual topics -- many of which are not topics you would learn in school.

3. Mark Rober

Mark Rober is a former NASA and Apple Engineer who recently retired from both of those careers and now uses his engineering expertise to create fun and interesting videos about science and creativity

4. Arvin Ash

Arvin asks big questions, and then makes videos on the answer to these questions. His intention is to take complex questions and provide a simple explanation to them.


Mitchell and Gregory create drawing-based videos to provide a visual aid to the topic they are discussing. They make videos around science and phycology to educate their viewers and answer commonly asked questions that may not have a simple answer.

6. Veritasium

Derek makes videos on all the topics he finds interesting. This includes science, education, and sometimes outlandish topics like why clickbait is effective!

7. Numberphile

These videos are created by Brady Haran, and mostly include anything related to numbers and mathematics.

8. TheBackyardScientist

Kevin is known as the Backyard Scientist because he creates content about doing crazy science experiments in his backyard. He takes you on this science experiment journey with him.

9. Jared Owen

Jared Ower uses 3D Animation to show and explain how things work which creates an appealing visual aid for his educational videos.

10. Johnny Harris

Johnny Harris created videos related to geography and has since expanded his content to other educational topics. Though he still creates videos about maps, you can find entertaining content on science and politics too.

11. Steve Mould

Steve posts many educational videos focused on different areas of science and keeps you entertained with science topics that you didn't know existed.

12. CGP Grey

This channel uses classic stick figure drawings, but does not take away any less educational content than the other channels on this list, This simplistic art style makes it easy to understand and visualize the topic of each video.

13. Big Think

Big Think is the leading source of expert-driven, actionable, educational content -- with thousands of videos, featuring experts ranging from Bill Clinton to Bill Nye, we help you get smarter, faster. Other Frequent contributors include Michio Kaku & Neil DeGrasse Tyson.

14. It's Okay to be Smart

Created and hosted by Joe Hanson, Ph.D., this channel gives you deep answers to simple questions about science and the rest of the universe.
